EAS 243 - How to Find It

Your term paper requires you to find information about your `pet mineral.´ 

The Libraries are here to help you find it.

First, you gotta figure out what you need to know.

Then, you gotta figure out where that information might be.

Finally, you gotta read it, and see whether it does meet your needs.

Today, we´re going to go through this process for a sample mineral, tourmaline, so you´ll know what to do once you´ve identified your own mineral.

The basis of this sample mineral comes from a colleague of mine who had a class ring with a tourmaline stone. The stone was lost, and she sent out for a replacement. Instead of the green stone she expected, she received one that was pink....A bonus question...Which stone was tourmaline, and what, most likely, was each stone?
