Midwest CONTENTdm Users Group – Fourth Annual Meeting
 March 19 and 20, 2009

The fourth Midwest CONTENTdm Users Group annual meeting will be held March 19 and 20 at Purdue University. Please consider participating in 2009, as part of a panel discussion, as a speaker or as a poster presenter. Proposals are needed by December 15, 2008.

Suggested topics include:
- Audio and video projects
- Building text collections: books, journals, newspapers, dissertations/theses
-Case studies—notable or challenging collections
-Change and revision: modifying an existing collection (replacing digital objects, restructuring collections, mass metadata updates)
- Copyright compliance
-Metadata issues: migrating, harvesting, repurposing, Unicode  
- Publicizing collections and services
-System integration and interoperability: CONTENTdm collections in the wider institutional landscape, (ie linking to website, RSS feed, meta searches, use of API)
-Workflow, staffing, and project management models
 
Proposals may be submitted for a  40-minute presentation; a 30-minute breakout session, or a presentation as a member of a panel discussion.

All participants are invited to bring a simple poster to share some aspect of their local CONTENTdm collections.

This Midwest CONTENTdm Users Group has evolved from the Ohio CONTENTdm Users Group.  Now in its fourth year, this group welcomes all users. In 2008 participants came from Connecticut, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
